Finding Me Again After Becoming a Mom of 2: My Pilates Journey
If I’m being honest… motherhood changed me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. The good, the beautiful, the exhausting, the emotional, the all of it at once.
And somewhere between pregnancy, recovery, chasing a 6 year-old, nursing a baby, working full-time, editing content, and trying to hold my house together… I stopped showing up for me.
I didn’t notice it at first.
But slowly my body started telling me:
“Hey mama, we need you too.”
So this is my soft beginning. My second chapter. My returning to myself era.
🌸 Why Pilates?
I didn’t want something aggressive or intimidating. I wanted something gentle but effective something I could grow with.
Pilates gave me exactly that:
- Low impact but challenging
- Strength without feeling overwhelmed
- A way to breathe through the stress instead of hold it
- A moment that belonged to me again
Plus, as a mom, my core, back, and posture needed some real love!

I’m breathing hard, my hair is all over the place, and I laugh at myself every few clips.
BUT I promised I would be real on this journey.
No hiding.
No pretending.
Just me… finding my rhythm again.
The snippets at the beginning laying out my mat, getting set up, stretching — even those feel like mini victories. Because that’s the hard part: starting.
🌱 What This Journey Means to Me
I’m not chasing “bounce back.”
I’m not chasing perfection.
I’m chasing consistency, health, and confidence.
I’m chasing the version of me who feels strong again.
The one who keeps promises to herself.
The one who didn’t disappear just because life got full.
This is Part 2 of my journey… and I’m proud of her already.
