One sunny afternoon, the idea struck me like a lightning bolt – why not create something truly special for Essie’s birthday? She’s not just a friend; she’s family. That’s when the concept of Messy Jessy’s Giggles and Glamour was born. It was going to be more than a magazine; it was going to be a celebration of friendship, creativity, and all the wonderful memories we’ve shared over the years.
The first step was deciding on the theme. I wanted it to reflect Essie’s vibrant personality – her giggles that light up the room and the glamour she effortlessly carries. The name “Messy Jessy’s Giggles and Glamour” felt just right, capturing her essence perfectly.
From heartwarming articles to playful illustrations, every page was carefully curated. I wanted the magazine to be a blend of fun and elegance, mirroring Essie’s spirit. There were sections dedicated to our cherished memories, fashion inspiration, and heartfelt messages from friends and family.
To document the creative process, I decided to make a TikTok video. It was an exciting venture, sharing snippets of brainstorming sessions, design sketches, and the joyous moments when everything started to come together. The support and love from the TikTok community only fueled my determination to make this magazine as perfect as possible.
